Modelling the Combined Effect of Axle Overloading and Climate on Flexible Pavement Performance Under Tropical Climate Conditions
This research investigates the combined effects of excessive axle loading and tropical environmental conditions on the long-term structural performance of flexible pavement systems. The study includes pavement response modelling, traffic load assessment, climate impact evaluation, material performance analysis, and deterioration forecasting. The project aims to improve pavement design methodologies and maintenance planning through evidence-based engineering recommendations suitable for tropical regions.
